On July 29, 2025, the online publication Kun.uz released an article entitled “How Waste Collection Works in the Regions”, which, in a critical tone, addressed the efficiency of household waste collection services in Zangiota District of Tashkent Region and Kuva District of Fergana Region, as well as the public’s attitude towards the new payment system.

The article stated that waste removal services in these areas were assessed as ineffective and revealed cases where residents were charged for services that were not actually provided.

However, it should be emphasized that these territories are not within the service coverage of the State Unitary Enterprise “Mahsustrans” The enterprise provides waste removal services exclusively to residents and legal entities located within the city of Tashkent. As a result of incomplete fact-checking, the article created a misleading impression that “Mahsustrans” operations were inadequately organized in the aforementioned districts.

We hereby inform that in the neighborhoods of Tashkent city served by the State Enterprise “Mahsustrans”, there have been no cases of specialized vehicles deviating from their monthly service schedules. The vehicle routes are clearly defined and subject to continuous monitoring.

In this regard, we call on representatives of the mass media to strictly adhere to the principle of balance when reporting on any subject, meaning that both sides of the matter should be heard, the situation should be studied comprehensively, and information regarding the activities of service providers should be based on accurate and verified data.
